Exnaton is a startup, spun out of ETH Zurich, which offers software for renewable energy to utility companies. Our software enables energy providers to set up energy communities and smart energy tariffs in their distribution areas. Users of our software can track their energy consumption and buy renewable energy from their neighbors, which makes investing in the energy transition simple and fun! 

Prosumers, dynamic electricity tariffs, and energy sharing are driving the energy transition and becoming integral components of the decentralized energy world. Our software is a cloud application that processes smart meter data and computes smart real-time prices for locally produced energy which makes renewable energy financially more attractive. End-users receive an app that maps the sources of their energy, making their electricity consumption more understandable.

The job can be performed remotely in EU countries.

Your role

As a Customer Success Hero at Exnaton, you will join our 25-person team and shape the company and its vision from the ground up. You will play a pivotal role in bringing a product to market that enhances the attractiveness of renewable energies. Our customer relationship starts with an initial setup project of our software in the customers’ IT landscape, and continues with the customer using our product over a long time. You will be responsible for:

  • Supporting our customers in getting the most use out of our software;

  • Regularly checking in with our enterprise customers, making sure they are satisfied with our software;

  • Aligning timelines and providing feedback for the tech and product departments based on customer feedback;

  • Supporting and setup projects with our customers, onboarding of end-customers to our platform; 

  • Responding to support inquiries from our customers, via email, phone calls and video calls;

  • Maintaining our product knowledge base, filling gaps in close interaction with product team;

  • Collecting additional customer needs and communicating them internally to the product team.

Your qualifications

We define ourselves by a culture of collaboration and ownership. We’re looking for a driven, capable, and thoughtful person to add to our mission. We are looking for someone who:

  • Holds a degree in business administration, technology management, information systems, or energy-related field;

  • Has first experience in project management, consulting or customer success, ideally with B2B SaaS or other software-related projects;

  • Easily gets familiar with new software tools and has an affinity to technology, does not shy away from trying out new apps and gadgets. Someone who feels comfortable jumping from one app into the next on their computer, changing settings and learning about a new tool yourself without requiring step-by-step explanations for everything;

  • Is fluent in German and English (these are hard requirements; other languages are also a significant plus);

  • Is capable of setting and communicating priorities, completing tasks, and meeting deadlines;

  • Has a real interest in digitalization and sustainability, basic knowledge of renewable energies is a plus, along with the motivation to delve into the complexity of the energy market;

  • Is quick to learn, finds creative solutions to unexpected problems and derives energy from interacting with people, and has no hesitation in engaging with unfamiliar individuals;

  • Is a team player and feels comfortable in a dynamic startup environment.
